2019-2020 Season

Back to school means back to Robotics

Our favorite time of the year has returned! Robotics season kick-off.

Before the official kick off of this upcoming season (September 7 at the TELUS World of Science), we will be having a brief introduction meeting on Saturday, August 31 at Progressive Academy starting at 9:00. This meeting will be mainly informational for students and parents, as well as a day for registration for both new and returning members.

We look forward to seeing you!

2015-16 FTC Game announcement

This year’s FTC game has been announced, and it looks quite challenging! Makes us wonder how difficult this year’s FRC challenge will be.

FTC has a new hardware and software platform this year. The new system uses Android phones as the controller, and all the robot programming is now done in Java. The Java based approach really helps build real-world programming skills, and the difficulty of this new challenge is certainly going to challenge students’ engineering skills.

Tech Life at K-Days

Come visit us at the Tech Life exhibit at K-Days again this year! Opcom demonstrated our robots last summer, and we’re back again for ten days, July 17-26, 2015. Come see our new robot Vitruvius, which competed in the 2015 FRC game “Recycle Rush”, as well as guest robots from Calgary.
